So, after a few heavy tests, which one of the two is the best?
Well, at first I thought that the XL pad was way too crazy. I thought it was a little to big to have on your desk and that it might interfere with other things that was lying around on the desk.
But frankly I just can’t stop using the XL pad. It is so comfortable and it is soft enough to actually make your desk ergonomic. Well, don’t take that too seriously. I mean, you can hang on your desk without hurting your elbows after a few minutes.
You didn’t think that it would actually make your desk more ergonomic if you sit by your desk like a sack of potatoes. Well it can’t help you with that, but it sure is soft and comfortable to have under your keyboard while you write reviews like this.
They are also very resistant to wear and tear with its cloth top and rubber base. They can actually expand to at least four times their size without problems.
Compared to the S&S then, which is the best?
When comparing the AIMB.PADs with the SteelSeries S&S it will only be up to what each individual user feel would be the best. When writing this review I’m really in love with the XL version of the AIMB.PAD as it really makes my computer time more enjoyable.
Also, as the XL pad is so large it eats up a little sound coming from your speakers and also noise from your computer. Even though it might not be a huge difference, it sure does its job as a noise eater as well ;)
Final thoughtsSo, before I end this review I should make a note on which of the two pads I believe is best. Well they are no doubt in any way better than the other; it’s just a matter of taste.
My taste today is definitely the XL pad, I think it will take pretty much effort to change my mind for quite a while.
I would like to thank Stéphanie at Bacata for helping me with the review.
Also, good work Boogie Bug! ;)
