Xigmatek Aegir

By Christopher Fredriksson

Today we've tested the Xigmatek Aegis SD128264, a gigantic CPU cooler with the possibility to use two fans. The Aegir comes with a little bit different routing of it's heat-pipes compared to standard heat-pipe CPU coolers, directly connected to the CPU heatsink it has proven that it gives quite some cooling to the 130W Intel Core i7 920 CPU (maximum rating).

A little bit different installation procedure, but overall quite easy.

The cooler is quite heavy, but thanks to the metal brackets it sits securely to your motherboard. Also, with a price around 50 Euro it is not the cheapest cooler, still it is well worth every cent for the performance it gives.

I would like to thank Caseking.de for providing us with a review sample and also give thanks to Xigmatek for an outstanding product.
