Zowie Gear Celeritas

On the test bench today we had the Celeritas keyboard from Zowie Gear. A heavyweight normal-size, mechanical keyboard. With it's 18K gold plated mechanical switches which is perfectly weighted, lack of extra features and high durability construction, the test was a real joy to perform.

I've tested so many keyboards until today and I've never found any real replacement for my Logitech Internet Navigator keyboard that I've just loved over the years. After testing the Celeritas I've changed my mind, I'm in love all over again.

The feel, the touch, the looks. Before I go too far, I should probably end this with a single quote.

“You get what you pay for” and with that said, if you get your hands on this keyboard, there is a big chance you won't accept any other keyboard for quite some time.

Finally, “you get what you pay for” surely means that this keyboard probably costs a little more than the average other keyboard you see on the shelves. Well true, you can find the Celeritas for around 120 Euro, for example over at Caseking.

But then again, if you want to have a keyboard that works for at least 5-10 years without any troubles, you will have to pay a little extra for it. With that, I'm not saying there are cheaper keyboards that just last 2-3 years, there are most probably keyboards out there that have been in service for over 10 years, but I hope you get what I mean.

The Celeritas is surely a must buy for those who need a reliable and serious keyboard.

I would like to thank Caseking.de for providing us with a review sample and also give thanks to Thermaltake for a good product.
